Fernwood's Outrageous Recycling Day. Bring your CLEAN plastics,
styrofoam packing and food trays (except meat trays), electronics and
foil-lined coffee/chip bags. This Fernwood NRG-sponsored event is held
from 9:00am to noon on the second Saturday of every month. The
recycling happens behind the Fernwood Community Centre at 1240
Gladstone Avenue. (The gate is left open to allow for vehicle access to
the basketball court behind the gym where recycling takes place).
Items can be dropped off for a suggested donation of $2. The
donation helps pay for transportation of collected items and any
leftover proceeds help support the work of the Centre.
