Fernwood NRG invites you to bring your gently used stuff and come to the new weekly Sunday Swap n’ Shop at the Fernwood Community Centre, starting on January 16th, 2011. After all the good cheer of Christmas, we find ourselves throwing out an awful lot of stuff that’s still good. Why not trade that Christmas sweater, that you will never wear, for something you actually need? This is your ticket to escape the growing pandemic of post-holiday carbon guilt!
Every Sunday, traders, urban farmers, artisans, musicians, entertainers, radical recyclers and connoisseurs of gently used goods will gather in the gymnasium at the Fernwood Community Centre at 1240 Gladstone Ave, to swap, shop, share, upcycle, reuse, repurpose, and reshape the world, while receiving the reward of newish stuff.
Mark your calendar. Bring yourself, your family, your friends, your neighbours and acquaintances. Come encounter treasures, fare, music, finds, and friendly neighbourhood folks. To reserve a table and for rates please email Swapnshop@fernwoodnrg.ca, call (250)-381-1552, visit us at 1240 Gladstone Avenue, or download the below PDF files for more information.
